Netflixs Full House reboot wont be at total capacity after producers announced Friday that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who jointly portrayed youngest daughter Michelle Tanner on the long-running sitcom, will not participate in the Fuller House series. Nearly every major original cast member has signed on for the show, but the Olsens absence is a void that left John Stamos #heartbroken, as he tweetedafter news of the twins decision was announced.
Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family, executive producer Robert L. Boyett said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards Fuller House.

The series reboot casts Candace Cameron-Bure, who played Full Houses eldest sister D.J. Tanner, as a widower with two children of her own. Her character eventually moves in with younger sister Stephanie (played by Jodie Sweeten) and best friend Kimmy Gibbler (actress Andrea Barber), who has her own teenager daughter. Full House patriarch Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) and Uncles Jesse and Joey (Stamos and Dave Coulier, respectively) have also signed on for the Netflix series, which will premiere in 2016 with 13 episodes.
There was always a minuscule chance of the Olsens involvement, but Stamos hoped that the pair would at least sign on for the planned half-hour reunion special that will precede the reboot. In a Facebook post, the actor elaborated on the reboot and the missing Michelle. Just so you reporters know, this is not a money gig for any of us quite the opposite we want to give the fans what they deserve for supporting us for so many years. We all just want to have fun, do it in a classy way on Netflix and have a good time, Stamos wrote. Sad that a few dont share the rest of the casts opinion. I can only wish them the best.
