Nine months after Sons of Anarchyreached the end of the roadand its seven-season run, creator Kurt Sutter has revealed that he is currently developing a spin-off series based on the motorcycle-gang drama. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sutter said that the new series would revolve around the Mayans Motorcycle Club, a rival gang from the original series.

In Sons of Anarchy, the Oakland, California-based, heroin-peddling Mayans were adversaries of the SAMCRO crew. However, as the series developed, a business relationship spawned between the two gangs. Sutter wouldnt offer up any details regarding when the spin-off would take place or if Anarchy actors would reprise their roles. Since the end of Sons of Anarchy, Sutter has kept himself busy, developing the Mayans spinoff creating, producing and acting in The Bastard Executioner and writing the Jake Gyllenhaal boxing film Southpaw. When Im not writing, I dont quite know who I am, Sutter told Rolling Stone in 2014. Im lost a little bit. Its like, what am I? Who am I? What am I doing? I dont do well. Idle hands and all. Im a little bit fucked up. But its part of my charm.
