Black Keys Spread Fever on SNL


With just two days to go until their eighth studio album drops, the Black Keys hit Saturday Night Live for their third appearance on the show and showcased a pair of tracks from Turn Blue.

The duo began with the organ-laced Fever, the hypnotically driving first single off the album.For the second act, the Keys went hard and heavy with Bullet In the Brain, which theydebuted barely a week ago in a live session on BBC Radio 1.

The Black Keys recorded Turn Blue over the past year in L.A., Michigan and Nashville, with help from Brian Danger Mouse Burton. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, frontman Dan Auerbach said that they had some initial trouble finding their groove for the new project, until the sprawling Weight of Love freed them from the notion of writing singles. After that, it was like, We can do whatever we want itll be all right,' he said.

Turn Blue hits shelves on May 13th. The Black Keys playLate Night With David Letterman the night before that and will be ending the week with an headlining appearance at the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama on May 16th.
