Watch Larry David, Leslie Jones Spar in Funny SNL Promo

Leave it to Larry Davidto sabotage his own promotion for his Saturday Night Livehosting gig, which follows his hilarious stints playing Bernie Sandersfor some of the NBC shows sketches. The Seinfeld co-creator and Curb Your Enthusiasm star is known for his self-deprecating, neurotic humor and his promo for this weeks Saturday Night Live has the added bonus of SNL cast member Leslie Jones, who produced the clip, not playing into it.

The pair spar about several things, including whether people should watch the show, with David of course insisting to not bother.

Dont worry about it. If youve got something else to do, honest to God, go ahead and do it. Its not a big deal. To which Jones vehemently disagrees.

Whats the difference if they watch or not, the shows been on for 40 years, who cares really? David says. Id rather they didnt watch to tell you the truth. Why do I need them watching? he adds. Im not any good, Im not going to be good.

Jones is incredulous. Somebody call Lorne. Why did they even hire you, man? she asks.

I dont know. It was a big mistake, huge mistake, David quips.

Later, David gets a bit of a complex when Jones doesnt flirt with him. When he presses her about it, she explains that its because she finds him too old.

Im too old for you? Are you kidding, I go five times a night baby, five times. Theres a pretty good joke to follow, which can be heard in the above clip.

The February 6th show also features musical guests the 1975.
