Harrison Ford isnt exactly known for being the loosest movie star in the world when it comes to doing interviews, but the legendaryactor certainly seemed to be letting it all hang out on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. Fully embracing the Halloween spirit, Ford rolled into the studio dressed as a giant hot dog. Kimmel, disguised as a bearded Princess Leia in honor of his guest, immediately started grilling the star for inside info about this Decembers long-awaited Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, in which hell resume his iconicrole as space scoundrel Han Solo. The trailers have been phenomenal, but can the movie possibly live up to the hype?
At first, Ford didnt seem to be particularly forthcoming. What is there to say, and why would you want to say anything? he rationalized about the hyper-secretive next chapter of filmdoms most beloved franchise. I want the audience to experience it, I dont want them to hear anything. (Of course, anyone who really cant wait to find out what happens can watch Stephen Colbert lay it all out.)

Fords reluctance didnt stop Kimmel from grilling him on some of the pressing questions that have cropped up in these final weeks before the films release. When asked why Luke Skywalker is absent from the new poster, Ford deadpanned There wasnt room. But he followed that with a cryptic tease: Theres a very good reason, but I cant tell you. From there, the actor addressed everything from his relationship to Star Wars creator George Lucas (Hes given me the opportunity to have a really extraordinary life), and rumors that he had once asked Lucas to kill Han Solo off in the original trilogy (I thought it would be good if he sacrificed himself in some noble way).
But if Ford wasnt going to spill any huge secrets, he made sure not to leave without telling fans the one thing they most want to hear about The Force Awakens: Its really, really good. Trust me. The film opens on December 18th until then, were going to have to take Han Solos word for it.
