Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to Score David Finchers Gone Girl


Trent Reznor and frequent collaborator Atticus Ross will score David Finchers upcoming adaptation of Gillian Flynns novel, Gone Girl, the Nine Inch Nails frontman confirmed on Twitter. The film stars Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne, a man accused of murderinghis wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike) after she goes missing the day of their fifth anniversary. Gone Girl is scheduled to open on October 3rd.

Gone Girl will mark Reznor and Ross third score for Fincher. Previously, the two provided music for The Social Network,earninga Golden Globe and an Oscar for Best Original Score for their efforts, while theyalso picked up a Golden Globe nod for their work on the soundtracktoThe Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

Today also marks the launch of, Beats Music, a new music streaming appfrom Dr. Dres and Jimmy Iovines blockbuster headphones company, which Reznor oversaw as creative chief. To mark the occasion, Beats Music is exclusively offering a brand new Nine Inch Nails remix EP calledSeed Eight. The short offeringfeatures re-workings of four tracks off the bands latest record, Hesitation Marks, courtesy of Hot Chip, Cold Cave, Simian Mobile Disco and Autolux.

In other related Reznor news, it was announced today that Nine Inch Nails will help close out this years Grammy Awards when they take the stage with Dave Grohl, Queens of the Stone Age and Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. Hesitation Marks will also compete for Best Alternative Music Album at this years awards, which will air live from Los Angeles Staples Center, January 26th on CBS at 8 p.m.
