The 90-minute special, which features intimate interviews with Spears, will air on E! on December 22nd at 8 p.m. EST. In a statement, the network promised that the doc will provide an intimate look at one of the most overexposed yet under-revealed stars of today as she faces one of her biggest challenges ever while finishing her album, shooting videos, doing press and being a mom.

I Am Britney Jean is perfectly timed: Spears eighth studio album, Britney Jean, will be released on December 3rd. Her upcoming residency at the Las Vegas Planet Hollywood which includes 50 shows over a two-year period will commence on December 27th, five days after the documentary airs.

Last night, Spears rallied against sneaky hackers by tweeting the TRUE tracklist for her new album, which features the singles Work Bitch and Perfume, along with a variety of noteworthy collaborations with producer will.i.am, rapper T.I. and Spears younger sister, Jamie Lynn.

Last month, Spears released a campy music video for Work Bitch, which features the singer dancing in the desert and singing within a pool of circling sharks.
