A barroom brawl propels Frank Castle into a gritty new mystery in the trailer for Season Two of Marvels The Punisher, whichreturns to Netflix January 18th.
The new season starts with Castle (Jon Bernthal) criss-crossing America and grappling with his double-identity as the vigilante hero, the Punisher. One night at a roadhouse, hes roped back into his crime-fighting ways when he takes out a slew of goons trying to kill a young girl, Amy Bendix (Georgia Whigham). After Castle saves Amy, hes compelled to help her find her attackers after he learns that she too watched as her whole family was killed.
The trailer is filled with slew of hard-hitting fight scenes and intense shoot-outs, especially when Amys world eventually crosses with Castles. Halfway through the trailer, the man chasing Amy enlists the help of Billy Russo (Ben Barnes), sending Castle on yet another collision course with his old friend-turned-foe.
Season Two of The Punisher will also feature Amber Rose Revah, Jason R. Moore, Josh Stewart and Floriana Lima. Steve Lightfoot served as the showrunner and executive producer.
