Amidst the 552 Simpsons episodes, FXX will also air The Simpsons Movie, at 6 p.m. EST on Friday, August 29th. Simpsons chronologists will be happy to know the movie will be broadcast in between seasons 18 and 19, just as it was released between those two seasons back in 2007.

TheSimpsons marathon celebrates FXXs acquisition of the syndication rightsto the hit cartoon, which they boughtlast year in what was called the biggest off-network deal ever. The network is also set to launchSimpsonsWorld, which will give authenticated users access to every episode on their computers, smartphones, tablets and similar devices.

While fans prepare to relive the shows past, The Simpsons is set to continue with the premiere of its 26th season on September 28th. The episode will feature the death of a major character, and considering the episode is named A Clown in the Dumps, many speculate that itll be Krusty the Clownwho makes his last exit from Springfield. Producer Al Jean, however, has kept quiet on the specifics, though he did note that the doomed character was voiced by someone who won an Emmy for their work on the show (which means it could still be Krustys old sidekick, Sideshow Bob, voiced by Kelsey Grammer). It turned out bigger than we thought it was going to be, Jean said of the episode. Its not going to be this blood bath where they all get murdered.
